READ
All students are required to read one personal book
or more
700 points are due by the end of the trimester
One Book Review is due per trimester
parts of a book review
1- a complete summary of the book (more than 3 paragraphs, more than 1 page)
2- a paragraph explaining your connections with the book (character, setting, and /or situation)
3- a paragraph recommending if Ms. Craner should read the book or not and why
Cfa
We want the students to learn, not just earn a grade. The students will be completing CFA assessments to determine
how much is being learned. Low test scores will require
Reflection and Correction, more practice, and possibly Intervention taught by any of the 8th grade Language Arts teachers. We want students to learn to material to better
prepare for high school, and beyond!

Writing
We will be writing paragraphs, summaries, and four
to six paragraph essays. Students are expected to
make corrections, rewrite, make corrections, and
rewrite until they are exemplary.
